The umpteenth annual Buckhorn Enduro was held October 15th, 2011. We had awesome conditions this year, just enough moisture to make the dirt tacky and comfortable temps.
Results are posted on D36's site. Our photographer, www.PhotoCrossAction.com has posted pics here!
A quote from one of this years riders, name unknown:
"That fresh cut singletrack was like potting soil from Home Depot."

Here is a comment from one of last years riders, Jordan Brandt:
"That was my first enduro at shasta, and I thought it was great. A little dusty but 2 riders per minute made it no big deal. Great mix of trails and fire roads, plenty of places to make up or stay on time. I was leading the the race until shortly after the gas stop when the magnet fell out of the little holder on the front disk. Backing plate and clip still intact but magnet must have come unglued and fell out. Noticed friday I had no magnet and bought a new one from enduro engineering. Did not make it through one race. I made do the best I could after that, but with no mileage I was just guessing. Ended up tied with Ryan Powell within 5 seconds not sure who won. We dropped 15 points. Cool spectator section with rocks and a mudhole near the end. Felt sorry for Greg Ruffoni who stalled in the water, but he showed me exatly where not to go. Club did great, nice makings, mileage dead on. Can't wait for next year."
We look forward to seeing you at the race!
